It Starts with us.
Building and strengthening community through dialogue with other Black men.
A CALL TO ACTION
On the weekend of Juneteenth, June 19-21, 2020, Black men from around the U.S. and diaspora will gather virtually in small groups to talk about their lived experiences: pain + joy; defeats + hopes; past realities + future dreams. These conversations are a form of collective healing, and they are needed more than ever to combat isolation and to build resilience within our social circles and communities. Will you join us?
VIEW The ToolKit
Any meaningful conversation starts with creating a space for trust, mutual respect, and honesty. Our Toolkit provides pointers on how to host a virtual dialogue to ensure that all participants feel comfortable freely discussing challenging topics that affect their lives.
“If you talk to a man in a language he understands, that goes to his head. If you talk to him in his language, that goes to his heart.”
